Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa (former al-Qaeda commander al-Jolani) is actively negotiating a security arrangement with Israel that he claims could open the door to “comprehensive peace.”

Recent Paris talks under U.S. sponsorship produced a hotline and temporary de-escalation, while al-Sharaa publicly states he wants a deal without surrendering the Golan Heights. From a Dispensational viewpoint, this is electrifying. Daniel 9:27 prophesies that the coming Antichrist will “confirm a covenant with many for one week” (7 years) — the exact event that launches the Tribulation.

A charismatic Middle-Eastern leader rising from chaos, presenting himself as a man of peace, and dealing with Israel fits the prophetic profile many have watched for. Is this the covenant? We cannot yet say with certainty. But the stage is being set in real time. The Church Age is ending. The Rapture remains imminent. Keep watching Israel, keep watching Syria, and keep looking up.
