Popular YouTuber Allen Parr has once again deployed the worn-out “even the demons believe” line from James 2:19 to cast doubt on the simple Gospel of faith alone.

From a consistent Dispensational perspective, this argument is both misused and dangerous. Demons do believe certain facts about God — and tremble — yet they have never been offered salvation. Human beings are offered the free gift of eternal life by believing in Jesus Christ (John 3:16; Acts 16:31; Eph 2:8-9).

James 2 addresses the usefulness of faith before men, not the condition for receiving eternal life. Confusing the two turns assurance into a works-performance treadmill. In the Church Age of pure grace, adding requirements beyond faith alone produces fear, not freedom.

As the Rapture draws near and deception increases, believers need clarity: salvation is by faith alone in Christ alone. Period. Reject the doubt. Rest in the finished work of the cross. Look up — our redemption is near!
