Many Christians confuse or blend the Abrahamic and Mosaic Covenants, leading to Replacement Theology and confusion about Israel’s future.

From a consistent Dispensational viewpoint, they are radically different: The Abrahamic Covenant (Gen 12:1-3; 15:18; 17:7-8) is unconditional, everlasting, and based on God’s sovereign promise. It guarantees Israel’s land, national existence, and blessing to the world — still in full effect today (Ezek 36-37; Rom 11:29).

The Mosaic Covenant (Ex 19-24; Deut 28-30) is conditional, temporary, and based on Israel’s obedience. It was the Law given at Sinai to govern Israel in the Promised Land. It was never meant to save anyone and was fulfilled and set aside at the Cross (Gal 3:19; Heb 8:13). Mixing them destroys biblical distinctions between Israel and the Church. The Abrahamic Covenant stands forever.

The Mosaic was a tutor until Christ (Gal 3:24-25).In this Church Age, we live under the New Covenant of grace (Heb 8), while God’s promises to Abraham accelerate toward fulfillment in the Tribulation and Kingdom. Rightly divide the Word (2 Tim 2:15)!
