Ellen Page has been on a tear recently in the process of promoting her new Netflix show The Umbrella Academy. Last week, she not only blamed President Donald Trump and Vice-President Mike Pence for promoting hatred against LGBT people leading to the alleged assault on Empire actor Jussie Smollett but also said that “Environmental racism” will end the world by 2030…Now she is calling out actor Chris Pratt for being a member of the Hillsong Church which is now being labeled ‘Infamously Anti-LGBTQ’.
What Hollywood doesn’t understand is that while the film was successful, the novelty of it doesn’t exactly have a long shelf live. In 2017, I said that “You can only make so many ‘wink wink nudge nudge’ jokes before eventually, you will have no choice but to carry your own story and the plot begins to become more complicated than it needs to be”…Enter The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.
Look as much as I like Chris Pratt, I can’t defend this idiocy of a franchise. I know for films like this we are supposed to “turn our brains off and enjoy” but you just can’t do that for a film in its 5th installment. There are so many questions I had to ask after watching this film there is no way I can do a formal review for this one so instead here are 36 questions I had to ask after sitting through Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
If I did ½ star ratings, this film would be closer to a 2.5 because there is good here and you will probably still enjoy as a popcorn film. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 tries to score too many points on what people liked in the first movie but instead produces a mediocre sequel which is the norm now for Disney’s MCU.
