Fans of The Conjuring will see many Easter Eggs in the film that ties much of the series together and brings us back to square one. Annabelle: Creation is a very entertaining horror film and if you can overlook a lot of plot induced stupidity, there is a great time to have here.
The Dark Tower suffers from not having enough time to tell the story that was needed. Missed opportunity is what you will hear repeated by critics and fans and they are correct. However, don’t let the RT score fool you, the film isn’t as bad as advertised, but it is a disappointment for those who have been waiting years to see this story told on the big screen.
Christopher Nolan makes up for a bloated disappointing Interstellar, with a film that excels in cinematography, sound, story, acting, and relevance. Dunkirk is easily one of the best films of the years and it didn’t take 2 hours and 50 minutes to do that…take notes.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes established an emotional grounding between Caesar and Koba given their two very different experiences with humans. Without that element, War for the Planet of the Apes wouldn’t have much to work with. As the film it is a technical achievement but as far as storytelling it’s a bore.
