It may have seemed like PRIDE month was canceled due to corporations turning their social justice focus on the black community rather than the gay community but that has not stopped Nickelodeon from pandering progressive social justice to children.
Last week, the children’s network Nickelodeon took heat for playing eight minutes and 46 seconds with the message “I CAN’T BREATHE” in white letters emblazoned across a black screen as a tribute to George Floyd. The network has been heavily backing the Black Lives Matters movement in recent weeks and now they are moving toward the gay community.
On Saturday, the Viacom owned network released a social media post celebrating LGBT characters and “allies” of the network. One of those “allies” is long-standing mainstay Spongebob Squarepants and the implication that Spongebob may be gay through social media into a frenzy.
You should probably not let television raise your children, look at how that worked out for millennials.
