North Korea remains the world’s most dangerous place for Christians. Under its communist dictatorship and Juche personality cult, even owning a Bible or praying can mean execution, labor camps, or three generations punished. Open Doors ranks it #1 on the World Watch List year after year; underground believers (estimated ~400,000) worship in total secrecy.

South Korea tells the opposite story: roughly 20% Protestant and 11% Catholic, with large churches, strong biblical preaching, and a historic missionary force. The contrast is stark—one side of the 38th parallel is crushed by godless totalitarianism; the other has known the free offer of the Gospel of grace.

From a Dispensational viewpoint, this is no accident. Communism is an atheistic system that cannot tolerate the true Church Age message of salvation by faith alone in Christ. Korea is a living illustration of the spiritual war raging before the Rapture. The underground church in the North proves the Word still advances even under the Beast-like regimes of the last days.

Pray for the persecuted. Warn the free. The days are short.
