The Bible itself answers the question. The way to Heaven is not found in later catechisms or systems; it is declared in the words of Scripture.

The Problem: All Have Sinned and Fall Short
The first step is admitting to yourself that you are NOT a good person and that you are NEVER going to earn or merit a trip to Heaven.
Scripture states the condition of every person: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)
“For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.” (Ecclesiastes 7:20)
The law does not allow partial obedience: “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” (James 2:10) If you 97% of a good person, you are STILL on your way to Hell.
Those who remain in unbelief face the second death: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8)
No one reaches Heaven by being good enough, because no one is. Accepting this is reality is Step 1.

What God Has Done
Once you have accepted that you are sinner before God and there is NO work of your own that will change this reality and you CANNOT save yourself…what can you do?
Nothing…Because Christ ALREADY did it.
God’s response is not condemnation first, but provision: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” (John 3:16-17)
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
“But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.” (Hebrews 2:9)
The gospel itself is defined this way: “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
Christ died for sins, was buried, and rose again. That is the gospel by which a person is saved.

How a Person Goes to Heaven
So If I can’t save myself no matter what I do, how can Christ save me?
The Bible’s answer is consistent and direct.
The jailer asked the exact question: “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
The reply: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” (Acts 16:30-31)
Jesus said: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” (John 5:24)
“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:18)
“And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” (John 6:40)
Paul wrote:“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
Receiving Christ is believing on His name: “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” (John 1:12)
This salvation is not produced by human effort:“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
The Bible’s stated way is this: hear the gospel that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again; believe on the Lord Jesus Christ; receive Him by believing on His name. That person “hath everlasting life” and “is passed from death unto life.”

The Security of That Life
Once I Believe on Jesus Christ, Can I be certain that I am going to Heaven or can I lose my salvation?
Once you have believed on the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ Jesus, you are saved from Hellfire and NOTHING can change that.
Jesus Himself states what happens to those who believe: “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” (John 10:28)
The life given is everlasting. The believer “shall not come into condemnation.” The gift is not of works, so it cannot be earned or kept by works.
That is the biblical way to Heaven according to the verses given, read literally in the Bible’s text.

How To KNOW You Are Going To Heaven: The Simple Answer…Jesus Christ
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6
You WILL NOT go to Heaven by any other name or religion.
Not Muhammad, Not Buddha. Not Allah. Not Mary. Not Vishnu. Not Baal. Not Brahma. Not Joseph Smith. Not Thor. Not ANYONE.
If you are trusting in any other god, religious system, good works, good deeds, a half hearted attempt to be a good person, etc. outside of the blood of Christ Jesus, mark my words…YOU WILL NOT SEE HEAVEN…ONLY HELL.
The path is clear and it’s narrow, Jesus is the ONLY way.
