Many confuse repentance with initial salvation. In Dispensational truth, salvation is by grace through faith alone in Christ’s finished work (Eph 2:8-9; Acts 16:31). Yet for the born-again believer, ongoing repentance is vital for fellowship, holiness, and rewards. Repentance means a change of mind — turning from sin back to God. Unconfessed sin breaks fellowship (1 John 1:6-7), grieves the Holy Spirit (Eph 4:30), and hinders our witness as the Rapture approaches. The Lord commands: “Repent and do the first works” (Rev 2:5). King David’s cry in Psalm 51 shows true repentance restores joy and power. In these darkening end-times (2 Tim 3:1-5), repentance keeps us pure amid rising deception, lust, and compromise (Matt 24:12). It produces fruit, protects from chastening (Heb 12:5-11), and prepares us to hear “Well done” at the Bema Seat. Don’t harden your heart. Daily confess, turn, and walk in the Spirit (Gal 5:16). The Bridegroom is coming — be ready!
