Atheists loudly demand “evidence” for God while ignoring the overwhelming witness all around them: creation itself (Rom 1:19-20), conscience, fulfilled prophecy, Israel’s rebirth, and the historical resurrection of Jesus Christ. From a Dispensational viewpoint, their real problem isn’t lack of evidence — it’s rebellion against God’s authority. The atheist’s plight is spiritual: they suppress the truth in unrighteousness (Rom 1:18) because acknowledging God would require obedience, repentance, and surrender. They prefer autonomy, even if it leads to eternal separation. In the Church Age of grace, this hardness of heart sets the stage for the strong delusion coming after the Rapture (2 Thess 2:9-12), when masses will gladly follow the Antichrist. Jesus said, “If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know…” (John 7:17). The issue has always been the heart, not the head. Evidence abounds — but only the obedient see clearly.
