Late night hosts continue to attack American Citizens protesting the government overreach of statewide shutdowns in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak. After Stephen Colbert mocked protesters in Michigan and Ohio, Jimmy Kimmel threw his hat in to mock protesters in Florida.
Protests have taken place around the country in response to overreaching lock down measures aimed at stopping the spread of the Chinese coronavirus. Because of this, 23 million Americans have lost their jobs, income, and businesses and are now fighting the government in an effort to save their livelihoods.
While protesters fight for their ability to survive, multimillionaire late night host Jimmy Kimmel took the time to brutally mock and berate the people hurting the most.
“They want the freedom to gather in large groups during an epidemic.”
“They want guns. They want pollution. I figured it out: They want to die and they’re taking us down with them.” Kimmel said.
Kimmel continues his rant by saying
“I get that people need to go back to work, I do. But the point of ‘stay-at-home’ is to get a lid on this, so we can get back to work. And then stay at work. I’m starting to think that these characters who support Trump might be suicidal. They seem to fight hardest for the things that will kill them.”
Several states such as Georgia, Texas, and Florida are taking measures to re-open businesses as unemployment and small business claims skyrocket.
Unlike Kimmel, not everyone is making 15 million dollars a year and can afford to sit in their homes for 18-24 months.
