It wasn’t too long ago when conservatives tried to extend a hand of support to rapper Cardi B after she expressed first expressed frustration with having to pay too much money in taxes in her home state of New York, a state largely controlled by far left progressives. Shortly after, she expressed what many took as a Pro-Life position in her explanation of why she chose to keep her recently born child instead of opting for abortion. Once again, the right came to her defense in an attempt to make her see things in the eyes of a conservative. Michael Knowles even went as far as to claim that the rapper would eventually become a Republican:

“Those two central pillars, if you love God and hate taxes, where are you going to go? You going to become a Democrat? I don’t think so.

I am predicting right now, you can mark my words, Cadi B will end up a Republican. I am certain of it. I love this girl.” he concluded.

What conservatives forgot to understand is the fact that the entertainment industry is no friend to the political right and in record time, Cardi B has not only aggressively denounced those on the right but has become the new progressive darling due to her verbal rants against the same conservatives who once sought to open their arms to her.

On Tuesday, Rapper Cardi B was invited to a Democratic event in Iowa for the upcoming Caucuses. Why would a local chapter of the Democrat party do this you ask? Because Cardi B has become a progressive hero in recent weeks due to her attacks on President Trump and his supporters, you know the same people who defended her nearly a year ago. She solidified herself as a member of the resistance by taking to social media for multiple rants against the right. Here are some of her greatest hits that made the left wing fall in love with her.

“If you gonna fly out a team that bust they ass practicing you gonna fly them out to give them some cold motherfuckin’ french fries, that is disrespectful, and that’s like spitting in a nigga’s face. Like I swear to God, if I was there, I would have punched the motherfuckin’ I would have motherfuckin’ punched the wig out of Trump, bro”

“I don’t want to hear any of y’all motherfuckers talkin’ ’bout, ‘Oh, but Obama shut down the government for 17 days.’ Yeah, bitch, for healthcare! So your grandma could check her blood pressure and you bitches could go check y’all pussy at the gynecologist with no mother fuckin’ problem! This shit is really fucking serious bro. This shit is crazy. Our country is in a hellhole right now. All for a fucking wall.”

“You wanna build a wall because you promised these mother fuckers something that you know you couldn’t do, You promised these fucking racist rednecks that you was gonna build the wall, but you know that was impossible. But they voted for you and you promised them this shit, so now you have to do it. Even if motherfuckers build the wall, that’s still not going to fucking prevent people coming into this country”

Once Cardi B took aim at MAGA, the left proceeded to turn the rapper into not only a political hero but a symbol of their ‘resistance’ against Trump.

You would think Ben Shapiro of all people would understand that Hollywood is nothing more than a political arm for the Democrat party. Even if you are a Republican, you can’t express your views in public without intense and swift backlash from that community. Just look at the night and day reaction of Kanye West‘s support of Trump vs Cardi B’s attack of him. If anything this should be a lesson to all conservatives and libertarians, don’t jump on someone’s bandwagon just because they agree with a couple of policy items or political positions because that doesn’t mean they are on your side. Your attempts to extend an olive branch may backfire spectacularly as seen above.
