The hatred that Hollywood celebrities show for anyone on the political spectrum who isn’t a progressive is a real-time example of why this country is so divided. Over the holiday weekend, a massive wave of outrage was created when a video went viral of a group of Catholic high school students allegedly racially harassing a Native American man at the March for Life Rally in Washington D.C. It wasn’t until hours later that people realized that the media along with their allies in Hollywood had completely mischaracterized the events of what happened that day, leading to people verbally abusing and threatening physical violence against the high schoolers on social media, Why? Because the kids were wearing ‘Make America Great Again’ hats.

The visual sight of a Trump Supporter was all it took for Hollywood celebrities to viciously attack the students online under the assumption that they support Trump, so they clearly are the bad guys. This sentiment was backed up by Netflix’s Daredevil actor Vincent D’Onofrio who went on his Twitter account on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to make the statement that if you wear a MAGA hat, you are not to be trusted by the majority of Americans.

“The MAGA hat is a sign to the majority of Americans that one who wears it supports a president that clearly cannot be trusted. So I would say if you want to be trusted by the majority of people in your country then I would TAKE THE HAT OFF silly. It’s not Rocket Science”

After receiving backlash for his call telling Americans to throw away their 1st amendment right to freedom of expression, he deleted his tweet claiming the ‘crazies’ were attacking him and blocked anyone who disagreed with him (including yours truly). D’Onofrio who plays Kingpin in Netflix’s Daredevil series has a mountain of tweets condemning President Trump as well as his supporters:

  1. On a different note. You wanted me to keep you posted on that War on Film Culture series I was planning on doing. Well, with 4 entries up (not including entry 0), I’d say there’s enough there to hold your interest. It’s part 5 though that you might find very fascinating when that gets posted on Sunday. It covers an event hardly anyone knows about, which contains speeches and arguments that should terrify you. Until then:
