Zechariah 10 (KJV) contrasts false diviners with the LORD’s care for Judah and Joseph, then promises a regathering from Egypt and Assyria.
The LORD is Jesus Christ. Egypt remains Egypt; Assyria is the northern Mesopotamian power whose core territory corresponds to modern Iraq and adjoining Syria; Gilead is the highlands east of the Jordan (modern northwestern Jordan); Lebanon remains Lebanon; Judah, Joseph, and Ephraim are the houses corresponding to the people of modern Israel.

1 Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.
The people are told to ask the LORD (Jesus Christ) for rain at the time of the latter rain. He will make storm clouds and give showers, so that each one has grass in the field. The latter rain is the spring rain on which the harvest depended.
2 For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.
Idols have spoken emptiness, diviners have seen a lie and told false dreams, and they comfort in vain. The people therefore wandered like a flock and were afflicted because there was no shepherd. Revelation 13:11–15 pictures a second beast, the false prophet, who deceives those who dwell on the earth by signs and causes them to worship the image of the first beast. The shared point is religious speech that is false and leaves the people without a true shepherd. The Final Prophet Of Revelation is believed to be the Islamic figure Isa (The Islamic False Jesus).
3 Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle.
Anger is kindled against the shepherds, and the goats are punished, because the LORD of hosts has visited His flock, the house of Judah, and made them like His majestic horse in battle. Matthew 25:32–33 has the Son of man (Jesus) separating the nations as a shepherd separates sheep from goats, setting the sheep on the right hand and the goats on the left; verses 41–46 assign the goats to departure into everlasting punishment (The Lake of Fire). Zechariah’s “goats” are the leaders under judgment, while the house of Judah is the visited flock. The two passages share the sheep/goat division; Zechariah locates the visited flock specifically as the house of Judah.

4 Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together.
Out of him (Judah) comes the corner, the nail (tent peg), the battle bow, and every ruler together. The leadership and the weapons both proceed from Judah rather than from the false shepherds.
5 And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.
They will be like mighty men who tread their enemies into the mud of the streets in battle. They fight because the LORD is with them, and the riders on horses are put to shame. Horse riders confounded under divine presence is the opposite of the beast’s military success in Revelation 13:4, 7, where the world asks who can make war with the beast.
6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them.
He will strengthen the house of Judah and save the house of Joseph, bringing them back and settling them. He has mercy on them; they will be as though He had not cast them off. Jesus is the LORD their God and will hear them. Both the southern and northern houses are included.

7 And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD.
Ephraim will be like a mighty man, their heart rejoicing as with wine. Their children will see it and be glad; their heart will rejoice in the LORD.
8 I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.
He will whistle for them and gather them, because He has redeemed them. They will increase as they once increased. The gathering is grounded in redemption already stated.
9 And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again.
He will sow them among the peoples. In far countries they will remember Him, live with their children, and return. Dispersion is temporary and purposeful.

10 I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them.
He will bring them again out of Egypt and gather them out of Assyria (the northern power centered in the territory of modern Iraq and adjoining Syria), and bring them into Gilead (northwestern Jordan) and Lebanon. There will not be room enough for them. The named places of exile and return are Egypt, Assyria, Gilead, and Lebanon.
11 And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away.
He will pass through the sea with affliction, strike the waves, and dry up the depths of the River (the Nile or the Euphrates, in context the barrier waters). The pride of Assyria will be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt will depart. Revelation 16:12 later dries the Euphrates so that the way of the kings of the east may be prepared; the shared image is a river barrier removed. Zechariah names the result as the fall of Assyria’s pride and Egypt’s rule. The Antichrist will be a leader from a Syria nation according to Daniel 11 and the King of The North.
12 And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD.
He will strengthen them in the LORD, and they will walk up and down in His name, says the LORD. Movement in the land is in His name, not in the name of the idols and diviners of verse 2.

Chapter 10 therefore rejects idol diviners, punishes the shepherds and the goats, visits and strengthens Judah and Joseph, and regathers them from Egypt and Assyria into Gilead and Lebanon until the land is too small.
The false religious speech overlaps thematically with the deceiving second beast of Revelation 13. The punishment of the goats and the care of the flock overlap the sheep-and-goat separation of Matthew 25:32–46.
