The episode begins in Odaiba, 2003, one week after the defeat of MaloMyotismon. The city is still recovering from the chaos of Digimon incursions, and the DigiDestined are on high alert. The Adventure team—Tai, Matt, T.K., Kari, and others—receives an urgent alert: Diaboromon, the viral Digimon defeated three years ago, has resurfaced on the internet, spreading chaos across global networks.

One week after MaloMyotismon, Diaboromon returns and Omnimon destroys it. The Kuramon merge into Armageddemon in Odaiba. Davis and Ken’s prayer turns Imperialdramon into Paladin Mode, and the Omega Blade deletes Armageddemon. Neo Saiba is alive in Daemon’s castle.
