Nihilism declares “life has no meaning, no truth, no moral order — God is dead.” Absurdism (Camus) agrees the universe is pointless and chaotic, so just “rebel” and create your own fake purpose while awaiting extinction. These godless philosophies dominate modern culture, universities, media, and even some pulpits in 2026.From a Dispensational viewpoint, they are straight from the pit of hell (John 8:44). They deny the Creator who gives life purpose (Eccl 12:13; Col 1:16-17), reject absolute truth (John 14:6), and prepare hearts for the strong delusion of the Antichrist (2 Thess 2:9-12). In the Church Age of grace, Satan uses these lies to produce despair, hedonism, and moral collapse — the very soil for the one-world system and coming Tribulation. Scripture destroys both: “In the beginning God…” (Gen 1:1). You were created with eternal purpose. Christ offers abundant life (John 10:10), not absurdity. Reject these demonic deceptions. Anchor in God’s Word before the Rapture removes the restrainer.
