A growing, prideful narrative in some Christian circles claims that repentant “harlots” (prostitutes or notorious sinners) end up more pure in God’s eyes than lifelong virgins or those who guarded their purity. They twist stories like Rahab or the woman at the well, or Jesus’ words about tax collectors and harlots entering the kingdom ahead of self-righteous Pharisees (Matt 21:31), to suggest dramatic sin + dramatic repentance creates superior holiness. From a Dispensational viewpoint, this is arrogant nonsense that perverts grace in the Church Age. Yes, the blood of Christ cleanses all sin completely (1 John 1:7; Heb 10:14)—a redeemed harlot stands justified before God just as much as a faithful virgin. But Scripture never says the former is “more pure.” Purity includes the body (1 Cor 6:18-20; 1 Thess 4:3-5). God commands sexual purity as a lifelong standard, not a starting point to overcome for extra reward. This claim minimizes the tragedy of sin, mocks those who fought temptation by God’s grace, and fuels antinomianism. It ignores progressive sanctification and the call to “present your bodies a living sacrifice” (Rom 12:1). All believers receive the same imputed righteousness of Christ—no hierarchy of “purity points.” True redemption glorifies God’s mercy without diminishing His holiness. Don’t fall for this false humility that elevates past filth over obedience. Guard your heart, flee lust, and walk in the Spirit as the Rapture approaches!
