Don’t pick a fight with Barstool Sports.

On Tuesday, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy angered progressives and Democrats for reinstating his hate towards unions. The comment was par for the course for anyone familiar with Portnoy’s style and humor, however, the whole game changed when far-left congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez decided to jump in and take aim at Barstool…and it didn’t go well.

The conflict started when Portnoy began knocking The Ringer, which is a sports site in competition with Barstool, for its call to unionize their company. The comment led to Rafi Letzter, a journalist and union member to jump in and attempt to organize a coup against Portnoy which ended as well as expected.

This is where Ocasio-Cortez, who likely didn’t know who Portnoy was, decided to add her two cents to the conversation and started a firestorm.

“If you’re a boss tweeting firing threats to employees trying to unionize, you are likely breaking the law &can be sued,in your words, “on the spot.”
ALL workers in the US have the protected freedom to organize for better conditions”

This would lead Dave to respond the only way he knows who, by challenging the congresswoman.

Portnoy would continue to egg on the congresswoman.

To the surprise of no one, Cortez has since not responded to Portnoy’s comments following her injection and it’s fairly likely that debate is never going to happen.

  1. Most amusing. AOC may have a future career as a right wing punching bag ala land whale Mike Moore. I’ll be checking any future Dave Portnoy stuff cause it looks like he’s based.
