Knock Down the House Review: Yaas Queen Slay

The film follows four female Democrats who decided to run for Congress in the 2018 United States elections: Alexandria Ocasio-Corte,z of New York, Amy Vilela of Nevada, Cori Bush of Missouri, and Paula Jean Swearengin of West Virginia. Vilela, Bush, and Swearengin lost in the primary round, but Ocasio-Cortez won the election.

Look you guys aren’t stupid, this film is basically a political love letter to Democratic Socialist (communist) women whose dreams for the United States look a lot like current day Venezuela. Don’t believe me?

These days, the American dream is more apt to be realized in South America, in places such as Ecuador, Venezuela and Argentina, where incomes are actually more equal today than they are in the land of Horatio Alger. Who’s the banana republic now?Bernie Sanders

So while this film praises Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez marching this country straight into tanks running over it’s citizens here are a few other things to consider:

  1. “In her district, a glass of water could get elected.” Nancy McBotox’s comment on AOC.

I’d be surprised if she gets elected again because she famously cost New York Amazon’s deal with the city. She’ll be taken out in the primary or be offered another job making big bucks in some socialist NGO. Making an obvious fool the face of the Democratic party may be fun, but it’s unrealistic to the point where she’s making bad leftist candidates look moderate by comparison. That’s not the path to another GOP congressional majority IMO. Something that’s vital if immigration – which is inevitably leading to a permanent Democrat majority – is not reformed and quickly.
