King Arthur: Legend of the Sword Review

When it comes to King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, the weakest part of the film is the writing. It feels like if they had spent more time polishing the writing and making the flow of the film work better this would be a much better movie. With that said, the movie is enjoyable its many problems makes it more worthy of a rental than a must see in the theaters. Legend of the Sword is a typical Hollywood blockbuster, high on special effects and low on quality.

Phoenix Forgotten Review

The film is pretty short, only 85 minutes. Normally this would get under my skin, but here the film doesn’t stretch itself too thin and remains effective. Phoenix Forgotten while not a top 10 film of 2017 is one of my favorite and most pleasant surprises of the year.

Free Fire Review

Free Fire fancies itself as a Tarantino-like film, but the film manages to fail to match every aspect of filmmaking that made Tarantino a success. If it wasn’t for a decent opening, I would rate this film much worse, as it is Free Fire is one of the worst examples of wasted potential in some time.

The Case for Christ Review

The real Lee Strobel shortly quit his job as a reporter and became a pastor with his wife, the story of his life is a fascinating ride from non-believer to believer that not only delivered a bestselling book but a compelling film. The Case For Christ is a story that can be embraced by mainstream audiences along with Christian audiences right in time for Easter.

Going in Style Review

Considering how close to death these actors are in real life, they aren’t doing their legacy a favor by being in movies like this. Going In Style is a half-assed revenge tale of a bunch of bitter old man who really doesn’t have anyone but themselves to blame.

The Prison Review

The film is a throwback to classic action crime movies meaning you won’t see anything you haven’t already seen before, plus the over the top ending takes away from an otherwise enjoyable film. For all it’s ups and downs, The Prison is a middle of a road action flick for people who favor crime and corruption film.

Ghost In The Shell (Guest Review Ft. JasonsMovieBlog)

Ghost in the Shell is a step in the right direction for Hollywood in adapting anime movies into live-action features films, opening up the possibilities for better translations and erasing bad memories of some past endeavors (see Dragonball: Evolution). So, I just have this left to say…. I am Jason and I give me consent for you to like and comment on my review of Ghost in the Shell.
