Gina Carano can consider herself effective black listed from progressive Hollywood.

Every major studio in Hollywood is actively erasing Carano from any future television shows and movies due to her conservative tweets and viewpoints over the last few months. Disney not only fired Carano from the popular Disney Plus show ‘The Mandalorian’ but they also canceled an upcoming episode of ‘Running Wild with Bear Grylls’ she was featured to star in.

Now Universal Pictures is jumping the #CancelGina trend with news that the studio reportedly nixed plans to have Carano return to the Fast & Furious series, via some movie magic, to reprise her role. According to insider Daniel Richtman, Universal’s executives feared Carano could potentially cause them PR headaches based on her personal and political opinions. Gina Carano starred as Riley Hicks in 2013’s Fast & Furious 6, she along with Actress Gal Gadot were killed off in the film but the Fast & Furious franchise have brought characters back from the dead in the past.

Mind’s Eye Entertainment

Universal reportedly pitched the idea to bring Carano back to capitalize on her Disney popularity until she was fired for speaking out against COVID lockdowns.
