Is another unwanted woke reboot of a Hollywood classic around the corner?
In an interview with Vanity Fair Actress Charlize Theron, doubled down on her interest in the fantasy project of an all Lesbian remake of the Bruce Willis classic film ‘Die Hard’ which for now is fan fiction rather than reality.
“I mean, it’s a great idea,” she said. “That’s why I replied on Twitter. Because I just thought that was kind of brilliant.”
Theron is referring to a Twitter fan who pitched the idea of a Lesbian action movie. The user wrote:
“Lesbian Christmas rom coms are all well and good but what I REALLY want is a Die Hard where Charlize Theron goes on a rampage to save her wife”
In which Theron responded: “Where do I sign”
“And the fact that it would be two women,” she added, “I was like, ‘Yeah, sign me on.’”
The 45-year-old actress went on to praise the LGBT community by expressing how her and her 9 year old adopted transgender child binge watch ‘Ru Paul’s Drag Race’
“I will always think of that show as our family pandemic show that I had to pre-watch every episode and figure out which ones were appropriate and which ones weren’t.“
“But, that was a fun family thing for us too, that just puts a smile on my face.”
Don’t be surprised to see a woke reboot of Die Hard in the near future, with Hollywood’s current trend of remaking and rewriting old classics to current day progressive standards, a film like this could be green lit soon enough.
