Black British actress Jodie Turner-Smith is set to play Anne Boleyn, wife of English King Henry VIII, in a three-part psychological thriller commissioned by TV station Channel 5.

“The drama will explore the final months of Anne Boleyn’s life from the eponymous queen’s perspective,” Channel 5 said in a statement.

“The psychological drama follows her as she struggles to survive, to secure a future for her daughter, and to challenge the powerful patriarchy closing in around her,” it said.

The mini-series, written by Eve Hedderwick Turner, is being produced by Fable Pictures.

The casting decision comes a mere weeks after Gal Gadot was attacked for being cast as Cleopatra despite the fact that Cleopatra was neither black nor Arab. Scarlett Johansson was also forced to step down from the role of a trans woman that her production company was producing because she was not actually trans.

Hollywood continues to put black actors and actresses in white roles while decrying if a white actor takes a role that they don’t approve of. Rules for thee, not for me.

. “Intersectionality” raises it’s ugly politically correct head. Anne Boleyn is a feminist icon as she was offed by Henry VIII because she couldn’t produce a male heir. Making her black doubles the oppression points.

I’m down with more jobs for black actors. What I don’t understand is why not do more properties where the majority – or all of the characters are black? If Hong Kong cinema can make money with all asian casts there’s no reason to think good and popular films can’t be made with majority black casts. = Black Panther.

This is the same actress that thinks white supremacy is a real threat in America, even though, it isn’t. How ironic. Also, I hope Brexit comes sooner rather than later for Britain, because Britain’s entertainment industry is completely broken with Woke extremists.
