Fans in Dallas, Texas have waited over five months to see live sports following the coronavirus outbreak and Major League Soccer thought it would be a great idea to protest the US national anthem…in Dallas…Texas.

Needless to say, fans were not happy.

When FC Dallas and Nashville SC collectively took a knee during the national anthem before their MLS game on Wednesday night in Frisco, Texas there were booed by a good number of the 5,000 fans in attendance.

FC Dallas defender Reggie Cannon said he was disgusted by the boos at Toyota Stadium when players and officials knelt to call attention to racial injustice. He said teammate Ryan Hollingshead turned to him afterward and said he was sorry.

“You got fans booing you for people taking a stand for what they believe in,” Cannon continued. “Millions of other people support this cause and we discussed with every other team and the league what we’re going to do and we’ve got fans booing us in our own stadium. How disgraceful is that? Honestly, for lack of a better word, it pissed me off. … You can’t even have support form your own fans in your own stadium. It’s baffling to me.”

“We had someone chanting U.S.A., but they don’t understand what kneeling means. They don’t understand why we’re kneeling. They can’t see the reason. They think we’re the ignorant ones.”

“It’s incredibly frustrating. I’m sorry to have this tone, but you have to call it for what it is.” Cannon Said.

Following the death of George Floyd, every major sports league in the world have bent over backwards to appease the Black Lives Matter movement, a movement that directly opposes everything that the United States and Western society stands for such as capitalism, patriotism, and traditional families.

Clearly, the fans are not buying the progressive lie that anthem protests are not a statement against America as a country and called them out for what it was.

Sports leagues have been able to pledge their allegiance to Black Lives Matter as fans have been banned from attending games, as fans are slowly welcomed back, resistance to their anti-American pandering will not be light.
