After 31 years, Cops is no more.

Paramount Network has pulled the plug on Cops for good in the wake of nationwide protests following the police killing of George Floyd on May 25.

The show was scheduled to premiere its latest season on Monday but has been canceled in the wake of nationwide calls to “Defund the police”.

Cops is not on the Paramount Network and we don’t have any current or future plans for it to return,” a network spokesperson said.

Paramount Network’s forerunner, Spike TV, picked up Cops in 2013 after it ended a 25-season run on Fox. The series continued following the 2018 rebranding of the channel as Paramount Network; it also had syndication rights to many past seasons.

Meanwhile, on A&E, the network is debating whether to pull the plug on its highly popular show ‘Live PD’. A&E pulled last weekend’s episodes of its hit docuseries Live PD amid continued nationwide protests over Floyd’s death. The network is still evaluating the right time to bring it back through a return this weekend appears unlikely to be anytime soon.

  1. Cops and Live PD is what cops watch instead of porn. Good, they both seem creepy.

  2. I’m so tired of these leftists and Hollywood celebrities constantly making police look bad all because four were crooked.
