New York Knicks & New York Rangers owner James Dolan has given sports fans a legit reason to hate him for the last few decades. The Knicks haven’t won a championship since 1972-73 and the Rangers haven’t raised the cup since 1993-94.
However, Dolan has raised the anger of the media for a much different issue. Dolan sent as a private e-mail to employees that was leaked to the media in which the Madison Square Company revealed that they will not make a public statement regarding the George Floyd murder in Minnesota.
“This is a turbulent time in our country. The coronavirus and civil unrest have taken their toll on our way of life,” Dolan wrote.
“We at Madison Square Company stand by our values of a respectful and peaceful workplace. We always will.
As companies in the business of sports and entertainment, however, we are not any more qualified than anyone else to offer our opinion on social matters. What’s important is how we operate. Our companies are committed to upholding our values, which include creating a respectful workplace for all, and that will never change. What we say to each other matters. How we treat each other matters. And that’s what will get us through this difficult time.”
New York Knicks players were said to be furious about the stance as many other teams are making public statements endorsing the “#BlackLivesMatter” movement while the New York Rangers haven’t responded.
Liberal sports media members then began to slam Dolan on social media for not publicly supporting the movement.

Worth noting that James Dolan is a Trump supporter and donor. He pledged $300k to Trump’s 2016 campaign, then donated $125k to get him re-elected.

The NBA and the NHL still haven’t committed to a date to restart their seasons after shutting down almost 3 months ago due to Coronavirus…perhaps they should stick to sports.

These journalists within sports media are the real scumbags.
Good for Dolan. BLM is a racist hate group promoting violence.
“This is the definition of cowardice.”
Doing what you feel is right against the opinions and brickbats of others is the definition of bravery.
The nice thing about social media is that fools can self identify. The horrific thing about social media is
there are more than enough fools to organize and coordinate attacks on decent people.
