It seems like citizens of California and New York, arguably the two most left-wing states in the country, are fed up with their governments locking them down for the foreseeable future.

Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti announced this week that he plans on locking down the city of Los Angeles until August at the earliest and has also made statements that public gatherings in the city could be banned until the summer of 2021.

This did not sit well with comedian and UFC commentator Joe Rogan, who on his popular podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ said he looking to leave the state for good if things don’t change.

“I might move to Texas,” Rogan said.

“Here’s the thing. If California continues to be this restrictive, I don’t know if this is a good place to live. First of all, it’s extremely expensive. The taxes here are ridiculous. And if they really say that we can’t do stand-up comedy until 2022 or some shit like that, I might jet. I’m not kidding.”

“If they won’t let us do the Comedy Store, but we could do stand-up other places, why would we stay here?”

Another blue state resident who has had enough with government lockdowns is Barstool Founder Dave Portnoy. Barstool, which is headquartered in New York City has experienced harsh shutdowns as the city and state look to be closed down until at least late summer.

Portnoy took to social media to rant about Dr. Fauci recommending that states stay locked down for even longer periods as places like Georgia, Texas, and Florida begin to reopen.

Fed up with lockdowns, Portnoy said:

“Dr. Fauci… gets in front of the Senate, he’s like ‘we re-open the country too quick, everybody’s dead.’ Where did that come from? And the L.A. Mayor, ‘we’re not opening the city until we find a cure’? What? Find a cure? Who says we’re going to find a cure?”

“We haven’t found a cure to cancer,” Portnoy added.

“It took AIDS twenty years, and whatever, do we even have a cure? So, the economy is just shut down?”

“We’re doing what you asked but now you’re changing the rules,”

“People have jobs and have worked their whole fucking life to put food on the table, to create a happy living. They’re just going to go out of business? They’re going to just wake up whenever this thing ends, whenever the mayors say ‘Oh, you can go back to work,’ work to what? Your company is going to be out of business.” – Portnoy added.

Residents of the deep blue states in America have had enough, hopefully they leave their voting records in the states they left behind.
