MLB is proposing hosting games at their spring training locations in Arizona and Florida with no crowds in order to save the 2020 season from being cancelled.

If the idea gets the green light by the league, Teams would be split into the “Grapefruit” and “Cactus” Leagues based on geographic locations for the 2020 season.

A proposed realignment of the division would look like this:

GRAPEFRUIT LEAGUE

NORTH: New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Tigers, Pittsburgh Pirates.
SOUTH: Boston Red Sox, Minnesota Twins, Atlanta Braves, Tampa Bay Rays, Baltimore Orioles.
EAST: Washington Nationals, Houston Astros, New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals, Miami Marlins.

CACTUS LEAGUE

NORTHEAST: Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies, Oakland Athletics.
WEST: Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Angels.
NORTHWEST: Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres, Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals.

Other temporary proposals involve:

• 75 regular season games
• Expanded rosters (to 30 players)
• DH for both leagues
• Shortened the draft to five rounds

MLB is currently hoping to start play of some sort by May after delaying a month of their season.
