Less than two weeks after the woke reboot of Charlie’s Angels, which was written and directed by actress Elizabeth Banks bombed at the box office, Universal Studios is set to hands the reigns of yet another woke reboot of an established franchise to Banks.

After Banks pitched her version of the classic monster character based on The Invisible Man, Universal has put her film in development entitled ‘Invisible Woman’ with her husband Max Handelman as the producer. According to Deadline, Blumhouse and Leigh Whannell have completed production on an Invisible Man, with Elisabeth Moss playing the widow of an abusive husband and fears he might still be around, only you can’t see him. Banks, however, will be the one who turns invisible in the other film. These films are the result of a revamped strategy as the studio evolved its original plan to do each iconic franchise after the failure of 2017’s The Mummy with Tom Cruise.

Whether or not the film will be as woke as Charlie’s Angels is still to be seen but Universal has also reported Greenlit another movie film Dark Army, a monster movie that Paul Feig will write and direct. Feig also wrote and directed such films as Bridesmaids, The Heat, and the all-female Ghostbusters reboot.
