Last year, Former Obama official Susan Rice was named to the board of directors of Netflix, two months later, Barack Obama himself received a multi-project deal with the company to produce movies and documentaries. Anyone with a brain knew exactly where this was going and got out early before the tsunami reached land. Today, you can no longer deny what is happening, the political left has hijacked the biggest streaming giant in the world and now Netflix has become the home of divisive progressive propaganda. The scary part? The worst is yet to come.

Netflix

On Monday, John Perazzo of FrontPage Mag wrote an editorial on the Netflix miniseries When They See Us by Ava DuVernay. The miniseries essentially rewrites history in order to create a divisive racial narrative that suggests the only reason that infamous Central Park 5 were targeted in a criminal investigation involving rape and battery was they were black men in America and that’s “how they see us”. The narrative is that the teens were completely innocent and were simply victims of institutionalized racism in America. One could argue the series’s sole objective is to create racial resentment in the United States and given the takes from outlets such as The Daily Beast and The Root, it looks like they succeeded.

However, what When They See Us didn’t tell you is the actual brutal details of the case showing why Central Park 5 were tried and warning to the weak, the details aren’t pretty.

Netflix

From Perazzo:

Sometime between 9:00 and 9:30 on the night of April 19, 1989, a group of more than 30 black and Hispanic teenagers — including the aforementioned “Central Park Five” — attacked 28-year-old Trisha Meili while she was jogging in the park. One of the assailants — whose identity would remain unknown for the next 13 years — raped her with vaginal penetration, leaving his DNA inside the woman’s cervix. As Miss Meili screamed in agony, one or more of her attackers shut her up by fracturing her skull with a lead pipe and mutilating her face with a brick. Meili lost three-quarters of her blood in the assault, and her brain activity could scarcely be detected by medical equipment in the hospital emergency room to which she was later transported. So badly was Meili’s face mangled — one of her eyes had popped out of its socket — that even her boyfriend was able to recognize her only by a familiar ring on her finger. The District Attorney’s office initially assigned Miss Meili’s case to its homicide unit, because none of her doctors expected that the woman would survive for even a single night. Yet Meili did survive, though she spent nearly two weeks in a coma.
During the half-hour just prior to their attack on Miss Meili, the Central Park Five and their two-dozen-plus comrades participated in multiple random beatings of other passersby in the park. For example:
  • Shortly after 9 p.m., they punched and kicked an elderly Hispanic man into unconsciousness before stealing his sandwich and pouring beer over him.
  • A few minutes later, they shouted “Whitey” and “Fucking white people” while attempting to assault a white couple who were riding a tandem bicycle.
  • Three minutes after that, they beat a 52-year-old male pedestrian.
  • Within another five minutes, they threw rocks and sticks at a 33-year-old white man named David Good, who managed to flee the scene.
  • Five minutes later, they struck a 30-year-old white banker named David Lewis, who likewise was able to flee.
  • And a few minutes after that, they beat a 40-year-old white schoolteacher named John Loughlin into unconsciousness.

Then they turned their attention to Trisha Meili.

Netflix

Perazzo goes into deeper details regarding the case which are very important to understand seeing how the series tries to use Donald Trump’s condemnation of the Central Park 5 during the case to portray him as a vile racist (Despite the fact that Trump was a Democrat at the time and was friends with many of the same people who try to denounce him today).

The reactions to When They See Us portray a narrative that the victim Trisha Meili was a liar whose testimony was used to incriminate innocent black men, it creates a narrative that police officers just want to lock up black men. The narrative that prosecutors would rather blame black people instead of fighting to solve the case. The narrative that despite decades of racial progress that nothing has changed from segregation to today. A narrative that reinforces racial hatred on the basis that the other side hates you just as much as you hate them. If this was your takeaway from the series which seems to be the mainstream opinion given the glowing media coverage, then our country and our society is truly doomed.

Netflix

Now, you could simply write this off as just another series under the Netflix umbrella, but it is not. It isn’t just on an island by itself on the platform. Last month, I reviewed a film called See You Yesterday. A film produced by Spike Lee which depicts a story where a young black girl must save her brother from getting killed by the police because, in this universe, interactions with cops and black people always end in the senseless murder of blacks. You have another film on the platform called Knock Down the House, which is essentially a political love letter to Democratic Socialist Women like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Then you have films like The Edge of Democracy which blames the impeachment of corrupt female Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff on a rise of a ‘right-wing dictatorship’ (which of course circles back to Trump).

If you take a long honest look at Netflix’s recent catalog, the product has taken a very hard turn to the left. In both content and condemnation. On Tuesday, Netflix producer Neal Baer compared Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to the Islamic State in a recent interview.

Netflix
“I am more shocked by Mitch McConnell’s duplicity and pusillanimous actions and his work to completely fuck up the country,” Baer fumed. “I don’t think he even believes in any of this stuff. I see Mitch McConnell as being as bad as ISIS. I think he’s as deep a threat to the country as ISIS. And I think he’s a traitor to the country.”

But it continues…

Recently, the platform announced a potential boycott of pro-life states especially Georgia if their laws that protect the life of the unborn in cases where a heartbeat is detected are finalized.

The company told Variety in a statement:

“We have many women working on productions in Georgia, whose rights, along with millions of others, will be severely restricted by this law,” Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s chief content officer, told Variety. “It’s why we will work with the ACLU and others to fight it in court. Given the legislation has not yet been implemented, we’ll continue to film there, while also supporting partners and artists who choose not to. Should it ever come into effect, we’d rethink our entire investment in Georgia.”

It doesn’t take a genius to understand that at its core, Netflix has become a politically progressive company that plans on using its platform to push progressivism and politically left issues no matter how damaging the content of what they are pushing it actually is. But, here is the scary part…the Obamas haven’t even begun to release THEIR content yet. If you think that it is bad now, it is going to get much much worse.

Netflix

Conservative commentator Mahgdalen Rose discussed the implications of Barack and Michelle Obama’s plan to produce several documentaries for kids and adults for Netflix. The Obamas say that their content will focus on issues of “race, class, democracy and civil rights”. Well if those ‘issues’ mirror what we have already seen from such creators as Ava DuVernay, we could be in for some very ugly times. Rose continued by bringing up a devastating point that not many people on the right want to face. Netflix has a reach of over 148 million people worldwide, including 60 million people right here in the United States heading into the 2020 election. The Obamas now have access to push their agenda to every single one of them. Remember, Barack Obama himself has said that he wants his Netflix projects to “train the next generation of leaders.”

While the political mask tells you that Netflix’s content is set to heal the political divide and bring us all together, their product is doing the exact opposite. Nobody who watches When They See Us or See You Yesterday is going to feel more connected with their fellow man if anything they will feel even more justified in the hate that they already hold. If this is the future of the world biggest streaming giant, not only is it time to reconsider the $15 a month you spend to support them, but it may be time to prepare for the anger and resentment that these projects are going to have on national discourse.

UPDATE: In a new post from Netflix, they boast about how the series When They See Us has become the most watched series on the platform since it’s release.

  1. Netflix is digging they’re own grave with this political crap. And want more proof that Ava DuVernay is a racist bigot? When they see us will proof she’s a talentless racist.

    1. Amazon Prime actually carries the awfully produced and acted but still interesting “Atlas Shrugged” trilogy.

    1. I left today. Since the Obama thing I’ve been reviewing it for content with a critical eye. They stopped carrying the stuff I liked so it was an easy decision. For the reason I put down “Obama”.

  4. More conservatives need to get involved in creating entertainment that is either apolitical, or right-leaning. We’ve allowed the left to dominate the entertainment industry and this has cost us gravely in the culture wars.

    1. Unfortunately, you need lots and lots of money to make movies and the money investors are pretty much fellow traveling leftists these days. OTOH, comic books take a lot less capital to produce and if done well can gain enough of an audience to make the IP attractive to movie investors.

  5. Thank you for this thorough and sickening post. Ann Coulter has exhaustively documented exactly why the Central Park 5 were guilty, and one of the lead detectives has a FB page detailing it all as well. In fact, a quick search brings up ample proof of their guilt. Think I’ll cancel Netflix and just stick with Amazon Prime.
