Four weeks later, Jussie is charged with 16 felonies counts related to faking a police report and faking a hate crime after it was discovered that he hired two Nigerian bodybuilders to stage the attack…

Chicago Police Department superintendent Eddie Johnson said during the press conference announcing his arrest:

“Mr. Smollett is the one that orchestrated this crime,” Johnson told reporters, adding that “he has to be accountable for what he did. He took advantage of the pain and anger of racism to promote his career. This publicity stunt was a scar that Chicago didn’t earn and certainly didn’t deserve,”

Johnson even went on Good Morning America and said to the entire nation: “There’s a lot more evidence that hasn’t been presented yet and does not support the version he gave. There’s still a lot of physical evidence, video evidence and testimony that just simply does not support his version of what happened. It’s important for people to recognize that it’s not the Chicago Police saying he did something, It’s the evidence, the facts and the witnesses that are saying this.”

A month later…

Jussie Smollett Has All Charges Dropped Against Him

All 16 Felony counts dropped…

No new evidence presented…

The case has been sealed…

20th Century Fox TV (WHICH IS NOW OWNED BY DISNEY) ‏welcomes Jussie back with open arms…

Co-stars celebrate his ‘innocence’…
