The Hollywood film industry has been run out of the state of California in the last decade due to the high taxes and the high expenses of running production in the state. The biggest US state that Hollywood has moved to is the state of Georgia, which according to Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Office’s deputy commissioner is now number one filming location in the world. So of course, it makes sense that a bunch of big wig progressives who were run out of their Democrat haven in California move to the Conservative haven of Georgia and try to flip the state’s government into the progressive one they left in the first place.

Last Friday, actress Alyssa Milano called for Hollywood film companies to boycott the state of Georgia after its Senate passed a measure that would ban abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected. Milano stated in a Twitter post.

There are over 20 productions shooting in GA & the state just voted to strip women of their bodily autonomy.
Hollywood! We should stop feeding GA economy.
Heartbeat bill approved by Georgia Senate

According to Breitbart, The bill would ban abortions after the detection of a fetal heartbeat, at about the sixth or seventh week of pregnancy. “The State Senate affirmed Georgia’s commitment to life and the rights of the innocent unborn,” said Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp.

Now, this isn’t the first time that Hollywood has tried to use their muscle to force Georgia, a red state to back off of bills and candidates that the PEOPLE of Georgia have voted for and supported. Last year, Hollywood flew in every celebrity imaginable to Georgia, a state that said celebrities had absolutely no personal stake in, to campaign for Democrat Stacey Abrams as the Governor of Georgia. When she lost, Hollywood tried to grow a movement to boycott the state of Georgia while Kemp is governor. Back in 2016, Hollywood giants such a Disney threaten to boycott the state over their “religious liberty” bill that was later defeated in an effort to secure Super Bowl LIII for the city.

“Disney and Marvel are inclusive companies, and although we have had great experiences filming in Georgia, we will plan to take our business elsewhere should any legislation allowing discriminatory practices be signed into state law,” a Disney spokesman said.

What you are seeing here is outside interference originating from the state of California who believes that they can directly interfere with the will of the people of Georgia on the basis that they moved to Georgia due to production being too expensive in the state they left in the first place. Hollywood is taking advantage of Georgia’s tax breaks and in return are now trying to dictate the political discourse of the state. If Georgia wants to remain the home of low states and conservative ideals, they may be better off calling Hollywood’s bluff. That is if your sovereignty is worth more than billions of dollars.

    1. Indeed, Alyssa Milano is just pure evil for supporting something that pretty much murder. Tony Danza should punish this evil woman for this horrible tweet!

  2. My favorite “winning” the last two years was the GOP tax reform bill which only allows $10k in deductions from state taxes. It upped the tax burden on the Hollywood elite – who live in multi-million dollar houses and pay $10k+ for each million in property taxes alone plus the 13 percent income tax on the wealthy and the 8 percent sales tax, which means they’ll have to wait an extra year or two in order to upgrade their Yachts. A small measure of payback to the arrogant politically posturing elite. If Trump gets really frisky, I suggest changing the copyright laws back to what they were before they got to be “essentially infinite”.
