If you are surprised by this development, you haven’t been paying attention. Deadline Hollywood has announced that Disney has reinstated James Gunn as the writer-director of Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Gunn was fired last July after thousands of deleted tweets containing pedophilia and rape were uncovered. But as the media pointed the blame at Mike Cernovich for finding the tweets, the cast of the film demanded that he be rehired. Disney announced previously that they would use his script but not allow Gunn to direct until going back on that decision today.
