Don Lemon Tries To Pretend That People Didn’t Believe The Jussie Smollett Hoax…They Did

Don Lemon thinks you are a complete idiot…because that is the only way you can possibly believe the story he is trying to sell you. Last night on CNN Tonight, host Don Lemon stated that “actor Jussie Smollett’s story doesn’t add up and many people of color and gay people, had questions about this from the very beginning”

Hulu

Lemon said that he talked to Smollett in the hospital before stating, “a lot of people, including people in the community, people of color and gay people, had questions about this from the very beginning, the veracity of this story. A lot of people were reasonably skeptical about Jussie’s story. Some of the details just didn’t seem to make sense.”

He later added, “Who’s going to be out in the frigid cold streets of Chicago in the middle of the night looking for an ‘Empire’ star? You’ve got to be bundled up in that kind of cold. How would they even know it’s you? And let’s be honest, there are probably not a whole lot of MAGA fans watching ‘Empire.’ And that letter, it looks like something out of a bad movie. Why not just hand over your phone to police? Yes, there will be things on your phone that you want to keep private, but if there are also things that prove your story, isn’t it worth the handover? … The details just didn’t seem to add up.”

You see now that Jussie Smollett has been charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly filing a false report with the Chicago Police Department, now guys like Lemon are trying to pretend that they ALWAYS had questions about the story in order to save whatever credibility they have left. However, this is NOT what Lemon and his friends were saying weeks before the indictment. Now let’s go back to what Don Lemon had to say about this hoax BEFORE Chicago police charged Jussie Smollett.

10 days ago, Lemon said that he wasn’t shocked by what happened to Smollett. “My initial reaction was sadness, I wasn’t shocked. I didn’t like that it happened to him.” Lemon went on to say that he texted Jussie daily to check in because he believes he can relate very well to his situation as a gay, black man in the spotlight, which is the angle he used to talk about how hard it is to be gay and black in America.

As far as Lemon’s another point, who are the people of color and those in the gay community who questioned the attack from the very beginning, Don?

Was it Ellen Page, the lesbian actress who ran to Stephen Colbert and almost broke down in tears to condemn Trump for the attack personally in a rant that went viral?

Was it Lee Daniels the creator of Empire who went on Social Media to say:

“It’s taken me a minute to come to social media about this because, Jussie, you are my son. You didn’t deserve — nor anybody deserves — to have a noose put around your neck, to have bleach thrown on you. To be called ‘die faggot,’ ‘nigger’ or whatever they said to you. You are better than that. We are better than that. America is better than that. It starts at home. It starts at home, yo. We have to love each other regardless of what sexual orientation we are because it shows that we are united on a united front. And no racist fuck can come in and do the things that they did to you. Hold your head up, Jussie. I’m with you. I’ll be there in a minute. It’s just another fucking day in America.”

Shonda Rhimes?

“Sending love, healing, and support to @jussiesmollett. We ALL have a responsibility to rise up against the ignorance and hate out there.”

Lena Waithe?

“I stand with you @jussiesmollett. We all do. This is America. Unfortunately.”

John Legend?

“Sending love to Jussie and the Smollett family after this horrific attack. We support you and pray that you find peace and justice.”

Vivica A. Fox?

“I’m just now hearing the news about the senseless hate attack on my #EMPiRE Nephew @JussieSmollett IM SO ANGRY AND HURT ABOUT THIS! THIS MUST STOP!! SPREAD LOVE NOT HATE! PRAYERS UP TO U NEPHEW!”

Zendaya?

“This is heartbreaking and terrifying…please pay attention to what’s happening here. Sending all my love to @JussieSmollett”

George Takei?

“This is horrific. What kind of country do we live in.”

Andy Cohen?

“This. Is. Vile.”

Matt Bomer?

“Sending my love and prayers to you @JussieSmollett . This is unacceptable and they will be brought to justice.”

You see the thing you have to understand is that all of these people are close friends to Don Lemon, so when he says that people of color and those of the LBGT questioned the details of Jussie’s story from the beginning, you have to ask the question, who the hell is Don talking about? Or maybe Don Lemon his liberal friends are trying to save face because they their hatred for President Trump and his supporters led them to embarrass themselves on a mass scale because they fell for a complete hoax? The ultimate Fake News.
