When you turn the industry of late-night comedy into hate porn for Democrats, this is the end result you get when you say something outside of leftists groupthink. Last night, while promoting his own late night ‘comedy’ show John Oliver was a guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and when Colbert brought up that we were in the final years of the Trump President, Oliver cautioned him not to assume that Trump will be out in 2020.

Colbert: “We just passed the midterm point in Trump’s hopefully first and only term and some people are saying the end is in sight.”

“I definitely don’t have that kind of optimism,” Oliver responded. “To say we’re halfway through his presidency, I think, is to ignore the concept of a second term possibility. We are two to six years away from the end of his presidency.”

The New York City crowd clearly didn’t want to accept the possibility of a Trump re-election in 2020 started to boo the ‘comedian’ in which he responded “Oh, wow. Are there some big Trump 2024 fans in here?”

He eventually won back his audience by making a plea to keep Ruth Bader Ginsburg alive until 2025, a line that got a huge ovation from the crowd.

This is what late night comedy has turned into, not a comedy show but live political commentary where laughs are awarded based on political agreement and the topics always favor the left while demonizing the right. Case in point, Colbert announced Oliver had officially overtaken Sen. Bernie Sanders as the most frequent guest to date on his Late Show since he took over for David Letterman.
