It truly is amazing what you can get away with as long as you identify as a Democrat.

Last Night on Real Time With Bill Maher, The host interviewed Texas Rep. Will Hurd to discuss the ongoing battle over the construction of President Trump’s border wall. On the same show where he claims Trump knows nothing about black people, Maher in the middle of his conversation makes another racist comment towards his black guest.

Hurd: “I’m a Republican because I believe in limited government,”

Maher: “I’m just asking why you’re Republican? Because they’re not good at the debt, that was their big thing. You said limited government, they don’t do that. What’s in it for you? What is in the Republican Party for you? You were in the CIA!”

Hurd: “I was in the CIA for almost a decade. I was the dude in the back alleys at four o’clock in the morning collecting intelligence on threats to the homeland.”

Maher: “That’s where you’d collect it, huh? Wow. By the Popeyes Chicken??”

As his own audience audibly groaned, even Maher realizes he went too far but this is not the first time he has made racist comments on his show. Back in 2017, Maher during an interview with Republican Senator Ben Sasse, Maher responded to the Nebraska congressman as he said “We’d love to have you work in the fields with us” by responding “Work in the fields? Senator, I’m a house nigger.”

It’s quite amazing what Maher has been able to get away with on his show because he is a Democrat as there are left-wing groups who are currently trying to pull pundits like Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham off the air as neither one as ever said anything remotely as offensive and racist as the comments that Maher has made on his show.
