On Monday night, Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz spoke at a “Make America Great Again” rally at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. With an estimated crowd of 19,000 people, Cruz with the backing of President Trump rallied support for Cruz’s re-election bid against Democratic challenger and progressive ‘rockstar‘ Beto O’Rourke. While the support was massive for Cruz in Texas, his challenger biggest supporters have come from California, more especially Hollywood.

While the Texas rally was underway, back in Hollywood, Jimmy Kimmel urged his audience to vote for Democratic candidate Beto O’Rourke in his upcoming Senate race against Ted Cruz, arguing a defeat for the incumbent conservative senator would be “hilarious” for the world to see.

“This race is so tight, that Cruz had to ask his former arch enemy Donald Trump for a boost, and the President lend a tiny hand at a rally for Ted Cruz in Houston tonight,” Jimmy Kimmel began. “That had to be the saddest phone call Ted Cruz ever had to make. I mean, imagine if your neighbor insulted your wife’s face, and then you had to ask him to loan you a weed whacker. That’s Ted Cruz’s life right now.”

“Imagine how hilarious it will be if Ted Cruz is forced to kiss his bully’s ass in front of the whole world, and then loses anyway,” Kimmel continued. “Come on, I mean, if nothing else, do it for comedy’s sake.”

Despite the glowing support that O’Rourke gets from Hollywood and the News media, the Texas race isn’t as close at the moment as they want you to believe. In the latest New York Times Poll, Cruz currently has an 8 point lead over his Democrat challenger. Primarily due to the fact that as much as California and New York loves Beto O’Rourke, that doesn’t translate into Texas votes.
