The plot thickens…

The James Gunn/Disney saga has been a long drawn out one since the director was fired two weeks ago for thousands of tweets about pedophilia and rape amongst others that resurfaced online. Earlier this week it was reported that major movie studios wanted to work with Gunn and even Kevin Feige, Marvel’s head honcho himself was lobbying to bring the director back, but this new revelation will not help their case. The Daily Caller’s Ian Miles Cheong has brought to light photos of James Gunn attending a pedophilia-themed ‘How to catch a predator” party from Gunn’s own website.

The photos come from Gunn’s personal blog, the theme of the party was “To Catch a Predator,” which was a popular NBC investigative series that used hidden cameras to catch alleged sexual predators who had arranged to have sex with children as young as 12.

One of the photos shows Gunn dressed as a Catholic priest posing with two young women dressed to look like children. One is in pigtails and pouting, another looks like she is about to cry as she holds a juice box and a doll. Father Gunn, who appears to be wearing eye makeup, looms over them. The second photo features Gunn, again dressed as a priest, next to a pigtailed woman sucking her thumb. Kneeling on the floor in front of Gunn is a man made up to look like a clown as he has his hands around the throat of the second woman.

The calls for reinstating James Gunn for thousands of jokes that involved AIDS, child sex abuse, the Holocaust, Mexicans, and raping women has intensified in the last week. The entire cast of Guardians wrote an open letter demanding Gunn be rehired, actor Dave Bautista not only attacked Disney for their decision but went as far to say he would quit the project if Gunn’s script was not used.

It’s becoming more difficult for defenders of James Gunn to look pass his trend of disturbing behavior. From the 10,000 deleted tweets that started this whole story to his known connection to Huston Huddleston, a friend of Gunn’s who this year was charged with soliciting a minor to appear in child pornography, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and is now a registered sex offender. Despite all of this, no one from Hollywood has come out to condemn James Gunn but they seem more willing to work with him now more than ever. If these same people (Saldana and Bautista) thought Roseanne could not be allowed to work in Hollywood again after her tweet against Valerie Jarrett, it’s hard to take their position seriously seeing how they continue to lobby for James Gunn.
