I Feel Pretty Trailer

Renee Barrett, an ordinary woman who struggles with feelings of insecurity and inadequacy on a daily basis, wakes up from a fall believing she is the most beautiful and capable woman in the world. With this newfound confidence, she is empowered to live her life fearlessly and flawlessly.

Thoughts: For a minute here, I thought Amy Schumer was going to take a serious look at the body image and mental health…then it turned out to be just another Amy Schumer flick…yay! Schumer is the living embodiment of cringe and if you don’t like her stand up, just skip this movie because it’s  the same we have seen from her in last 5 years and it’s bad.

It’s a shame she is doing like her male peers and sticking to her shtick. Ain’t she due to be at the point in her career where she should be doing more dramatic roles?,Like in “Thank You For Your Service?”

As long as someone in Hollywood keeps telling her, she is funny, she will keep doing this crap because #ItsTime or #MeToo or something. The movie is already getting slammed online.

Is it wrong to say though that I still kind of wanna watch it?

        For trainwreck value?

More so to see, after The Leather Special, if maybe her stand up career should just be over and she’d be better off sticking to movies. Though this isn’t a movie she wrote, yet again, so I wonder when her true follow up to Trainwreck will happen…

Why all the negativity? I’m excited to see Jack Black being the main star of another comedy.

I don’t get the utter hatred of Schumer. “I Feel Pretty” is actually quite good, and it has a very positive message. I really liked it, and I haven’t liked anything else she’s ever done. You can’t really judge a film based on the trailer alone.

The hatred for Schumer comes from two things, her politics and the fact she just isn’t as funny as she thinks she is. As far as this movie goes, i don’t think her politics is the issue because critics and audiences are hating it. Kristy Puchko from Pajiba called “mean-spirited, unfunny, and vapid as its infuriating heroine.” and that’s a LGBT progressive talking.

And I saw the movie and I didn’t find it mean spirited at all. I don’t understand why some critics are saying that. My audience seemed to love it. I’d like to hear your take on it once you see the movie.
