Now it’s time for the best films of 2016. It’s been a long road and while there are a lot of shit to dig through there was also a lot of gems. From horror to thrillers to heist films, there was alot of diversity in the top 10 this year so here are 1-10 with a few honorable mentions.
The year is finally over and it is time to rant about the worst pieces of shit to come out in 2016. Now I have to note that there were a lot of bad movies in 2016 but only a select handful of them actually made me upset watching them.
The few actors in the film simply can’t overcome the writing shortfalls. Passengers isn’t a bad film but it isn’t a good one either. Don’t let the marquee names fool you; you are better off renting this film at home.
Assassin’s Creed is a pure waste in every sense of the word. They waste an entire video game franchise, they waste an arsenal of heavyweight actors by giving them nothing to work with, they waste 125 million dollars paying all these people to be in the movie, and they waste one actually decent chase/action sequence on this poorly written junk.
I do hope that in the future, Disney decides to release the original director version of this film so we can compare and contrast who’s vision was better in the long run but as a one-off prequel Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is a solid footnote.
I’m not going to give it “best film of the year” nods while Hacksaw Ridge and Hell or High Water are in the running and I believe those are MUCH better films but La La Land is a fun blast from the past
