So what do you do when former Late Night great Jay Leno calls you out for a lack of civility in your industry? You tell him to Go Fuck Himself!

Jay Leno must have really struck a nerve in the world of Progressive Late Night shills because now late-night hosts are lashing out at his simply call for civility. Last Week, the former Late Night king responded to the current state of late-night comedy and stated how is not a fan of how hateful the content has become.

Because, you know, the theory when we did the show was you just watch the news, we’ll make fun of the news, and get your mind off the news. Well, now people just want to be on the news all the time. You just have one subject that’s the same topic every night, which makes it – makes it very hard. I mean, all the comics, Jimmy and Colbert and everybody else, it’s tough when that’s the only topic out there. Now it’s all very serious, I’d just like to see a bit of civility come back to it.

These comments set off Last Week Tonight host John Oliver to dedicate an entire segment slamming Leno for daring to think that maybe the hoard of left-wing ‘comedians’ have lost the plot. Oliver used Leno’s old jokes regarding the then president Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky sex scandal that rocked the 1990s to paint him as a hypocrite. Oliver would then go out to attack Leno for ‘publicly shaming’ Lewinsky during the 90s and attacked his call for ‘civility’ in Late Night.

And if that’s what he means by civility, may I offer my new book, “Oh, the places you can go fuck yourself, Jay Leno.” Look how civil I’m being! Look how civil this is.

Not to be outdone was The Late Show Host Stephen Colbert who responded not as harsh to Leno’s comments but essentially dismisses a call for civility because President Trump is doing ‘horrible’ things to America.

“It was a different time when (Leno) was hosting. Now there’s one subject, so people can see your politics more, but I’m fine with that. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with saying what this person is doing to families and the nation is horrible,” Stephen Colbert said during an appearance at Paleyfest, according to Variety.

Colbert and Oliver are a couple of MANY late night hosts who have turned the genre into Progressive grandstanding and political theater for Democrats leading many Americans to abandon late-night programming years after hosts like Jay Leno stepped down. Leno spoke out about how absurdly political his former arena has become and sadly that arena is not changing anytime soon.

  1. I’ll be counting down the days until both John Oliver and Stephen Colbert get their well deserved karma.
